2,000여명의 대규모 일본인 관광객 하회마을 염행당 방문 |

(재)안동축제관광조직위원회에서는 2010~2012년 한국방문의 해 및 대한민국 명예대표축제인 안동국제탈춤페스티벌2011 기간 중 대규모 일본인 관광객 유치를 위하여 한국관광공사 전략상품팀, (주)클럽투어리즘과 지속적으로 협의/추진하여 2011. 9. 30~10. 8까지 약 2,000여명의 일본인 관광객을 모객, 하회마을 내 염행당(남촌댁)에서 특별이벤트를 개최한다.
이번 특별이벤트는 탈춤축제를 모티브로 하여 기획, 홍보된 투어상품으로 2010년을 시작으로 올해 2회째이며, 전년도에는 안동시 길안면 소재 묵계서원에서 특별이벤트를 개최하여 좋은 반응을 얻었다.
올해 기획된 안동투어상품의 특징은 프로그램 구성의 다양화, 기획/출시된 상품 수의 증가 등이며 경유형과 체류형의 2가지 패턴으로 구성했다. 특히 특별이벤트가 개최되는 9월 30일부터 10월 8일까지 9일간 약 1,500여명의 관광객이 하회마을 내 북촌댁, 락고재, 국학문화회관에서 숙박할 예정으로 지역경제 활성화에 보탬이 될 것으로 기대된다.
이벤트 내용은 하회탈만들기, 하회별신굿탈놀이공연감상, 따라배우기 등으로 안동방문이 처음인 관광객에 세계문화유산 하회마을의 전통문화를 이해할 수 있는 기회를, 재차 방문한 관광객에는 한국 전통문화의 정수를 체험하는, 잊지 못할 추억을 선사할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
향후 안동관광상품의 정례화를 위하여 (재)안동축제관광조직위원회와 한국관광공사, (주)클럽투어리즘은 지속적이고 보다 적극적인 방법을 모색, 상호협조할 계획이다. 진뉴스 편집부
