2011 사랑의 연탄보내기 운동 전개 |

안동시새마을협의회(회장 권태경)에서는 행복안동 만들기 일환으로 「사랑의 연탄보내기 운동」을 2011. 11. 16(수) 10:00 안동시새마을회관 앞에서 전개 한다고 밝혔다.
24개 읍면동 협의회가 주관한 이번 행사는 사회적으로 외롭고 실의에 빠진 70여 세대 관내 주민들에게 7,600여장의 연탄을 전달하여 따뜻한 인정을 나누고 우리 모두가 한 가족이라는 믿음을 이웃과 함께하여 삶의 용기와 따뜻한 온정을 함께 나눌 계획이다.
권태경 새마을협의회장은 “어려운 이웃돕기 등 자원봉사활동을 적극적으로 추진하여 경제적으로 어려운 상황에 있는 많은 이웃들이 자활의지를 가질 수 있도록 안동시새마을협의회가 앞장 서겠다”고 밝혔으며, 작년에도 사랑 연탄나누기 운동을 72세대 7,600장을 전달한 바 있다.
새마을 사랑의 연탄보내기 운동은 지난 2004년 부터 지속적으로 추진하여 지금까지 74,100장의 연탄을 지역의 불우이웃 689세대에 전달 하였으며, 안동시 새마을회에서는 매년 행복한 사랑 나눔 실천운동으로 ‘요섭의 집’ 무료급식봉사, 쌀 모으기, 헌옷 보내기, 농촌봉사활동 등을 전개하여 새마을운동 활성화와 행복안동 만들기에 앞장서고 있다. 진뉴스 편집부
